The following list refers to recommendable hotels located within 20 min driving distance from KAIST. These hotels can be easily booked via typical online hotel booking sites. A-COE is not affiliated with any of the hotels listed below. The first two hotels (Lotte and ICC) are located side by side and offer negotiated rates for A-COE participants. A shuttle bus to and from these two hotels will be provided in the morning and evening during the conference period for your convenience. [Updated 9/28: Cut-off for guaranteed reservation has passed for both of the hotels. Nevertheless, they will still accept reservation at the same negotiated rate as long as rooms are available.]

From Incheon International Airport​

  1. By train (booking online)

    • Incheon Int'l Airport Station directly to Daejeon Station via KTX  

    • Incheon Int'l Airport Station to Seoul Station via Airport Express Train, then from Seoul Station to Daejeon Station via KTX

  2. By bus (booking online)

    • Incheon Int'l Airport directly to Daejeon Cheongsa (or 'Daejeon Government Complex' ) Stop via Limousine Bus ("9D" bus station at the airport. Tickets can be purchased at the booths near the station.​)

From Daejeon Station or from Daejeon Cheongsa (='Daejeon Government Complex') bus stop

  • Taxi is the easiest and recommended transportation for travel from Daejeon Station to KAIST. It will cost approx. KRW 10,000 (~$9), although it may vary depending on traffic situation.

China, you will need to obtain visa to enter Korea.  In such a case, please send an email to Ms. Hyein Song at songhye@kaist.ac.kr with your detailed affiliation and address/ phone number so that we can mail you the official documents that you will need for your visa application.
